ReplyLater

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

ReplyLater for WhatsApp Web is a browser extension that helps users manage follow-up reminders, conversation notes, statuses and tags, with an optional Privacy Mode. This policy explains how the extension handles information.

In short: ReplyLater does not require an account, does not send WhatsApp messages automatically and does not transmit your conversations, reminders, notes or tags to servers operated by ReplyLater.

1. Information the extension uses

To provide its features, ReplyLater accesses information displayed in WhatsApp Web, such as the currently selected conversation, contact or group names, messages, profile photos and media. Privacy Mode uses information displayed on the page to blur selected content. The extension also processes information you enter into ReplyLater, including follow-up dates, reminder notes, conversation notes, statuses and tags.

2. Storage

Follow-up reminders and conversation information are stored in your browser using Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local). Small Privacy Mode preferences may be stored using Chrome's sync storage (chrome.storage.sync), which Chrome may synchronise across browsers signed into your Google account, depending on your Chrome settings. ReplyLater does not operate a separate account system or its own cloud database for this information.

3. How information is used

Information is used only to provide the extension's features: associating reminders and notes with conversations, showing follow-up status and badges, displaying desktop notifications at scheduled times, and applying optional Privacy Mode blurring in WhatsApp Web.

4. Sharing and external transmission

ReplyLater does not sell your information, use it for advertising or send your conversations, reminders, notes or tags to servers operated by ReplyLater or to third-party analytics services. The extension works within WhatsApp Web, which is operated independently by WhatsApp/Meta and is subject to its own privacy practices. Chrome's optional sync storage is provided by Google under your Chrome settings.

5. Permissions

6. Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete follow-ups, notes and tags through the extension. You can disable Privacy Mode at any time. Removing the extension clears its locally stored extension data from that Chrome profile. If Chrome has synchronised preferences, their removal may also depend on your Chrome sync settings.

7. Security

ReplyLater does not require a ReplyLater password or account. Data stored by the extension remains subject to the security of your device, browser profile and, where enabled, Chrome Sync.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the extension's features or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.

9. Contact

For privacy questions, please use the support contact listed on ReplyLater's Chrome Web Store page.
